Their state-of-the-art patented technology ensures a high degree of safety and accommodates all types of flyers, from first-timers to seasoned skydivers and military operations. With its huge size and wide range of air speeds the wind tunnel also enables flyers to execute a variety of movements with ease, such as free flying, four/eight-way formation skydiving and Vertical Relative Work. The iFly Singapore experience is fully supervised by skilled instructors who are certified by the International Body flight Association. In addition, they organise periodic tunnel training camps and arrange for coaching by world champions to constantly upkeep and improve the standards of their instructors. iFly Singapore instructors are not only there for your safety; for return flyers, they also ensure that you learn as fast as possible, on each and every visit you make, helping you progress in the sport of body flying.
Almost everyone can fly, including those with disabilities, the young and the old, as long as you meet their criteria. If you have any concerns, you can contact them to discuss. They will try their best to accommodate you!
Their Skydiving Flight Criteria requires their flyers to be less than 120kg (if shorter than 180cm) or 140kg (if taller than 180cm), at least 7 years old, must be able to comfortably wear one of their helmets, not pregnant, not have previously dislocated your shoulder, have no history of back/neck injury or heart problems, not under the influence of alcohol or non-prescriptive drugs, not wearing a plaster cast, have signed the iFly Singapore indemnity form. Flyers under the age of 18 years need signed permission from parent or guardian.
Before going you should check that you are wearing comfortable clothes, they advise wearing a shirt with no collar as it may flap around your neck. You should also wear well-fitted laced-up sneakers with non-marking soles and remove any jewelry and leave valuables at home. Ladies with long hair are advised to tie up to minimize messy knotty hair. They have lockers available for rent onsite.
The whole experience will last for about 1.5 hours, this includes checking-in, the preparatory briefing/training before your flight and the necessary gearing up. A flight suit as well as helmet and goggles will be provided. If you wish to wear your spectacles when you fly, ask your instructor for special goggles. Ear plugs are available too on request.
