Happy Train centre – Bugis
Here’s a great enrichment programme for parents to aid their kids in their developmental growth! The Happy Train programme is a Holistic brain-training programme that enriches children’s growing minds through a variety of games, guided play and hands-on activities. The curriculum is designed to motivate the little learner’s aspiration of achievement. Their refined teaching materials encourage children to explore concepts and ideas through experiential learning. They believe in the importance of developing core skills and shaping children’s learning attitudes.
They have a maximum class size of 6 students per class, to provide optimal attention to each child in developing their capabilities and bringing out the best in them. Their instructors understand this concept and work with your child in exploring their creative sides. Their instructors possess the experience and expertise in conducting baby enrichment classes in Singapore. They are well-trained in infant brain development and will engage your child in different activities that can help your kids to focus on their tasks while learning effectively. They strongly advocate parent-child bonding which is why they make it mandatory that at least one parent is present with their child during lessons. Their programmes are divided into 4 terms a year, with 12 sessions (average) per term. Their stimulating brain training programmes offer early exposure with dual languages.
After the pandemic, they are resuming their face-to-face lessons on 25 June 2020. There are several safety measures in the centres to ensure the environment is safe for children, parents, and staff. They are now registered with SafeEntry and will provide QR codes pasted at the door for you to check-in to the premises and require both parents and children to use the SafeEntry for checking in. For students attending class in the Bugis centre, hey are advised to arrive 5 minutes before scheduled class timing, as there are safe distancing measures within the lift allowing only 2 people, with the ONLY exception of same household members, i.e. siblings. Both parent and child are required to check-in to Chye Sing Building AND Happy Train.
They are not permitting students or those with any household members who are placed on Leave of Absence (LOA), Stay Home Notice (SHN), or Home Quarantine Order (HQO) or Approved Absence (AA) by their schools to attend lessons and they will require you to fill up a declaration form weekly before coming for lesson. This is to abide by the nationwide safe management measures for workplaces. They will also no longer allow waiting inside the centre except for students who are waiting for their siblings’ dismissal. Only 1 adult per child is allowed to enter the centre.
To ensure extra care is taken inside classrooms, they have made some changes to classroom seating to ensure safe distancing between students and parents. Class timings have also been staggered to avoid crowding and intermingling of students from different classes. There will also be no physical contact between the teachers and children. Children will be seated 1m apart from each other and movement in the classroom will be restricted. They also disinfect the classroom in between each class and require students and parents to bring their own personal items that need to be used.
